The sculpture installation, TREEHUGGERS, by emerging artist Preston Douglas Boyer is on view at LongHouse Reserve. The exhibition is comprised of two dimensional abstract paintings woven into the trees, thus becoming three dimensional "living sculptures," where art and nature become one. Preston's work intersects fine art, fashion, performance, technology, pop culture, and art history, both physically and conceptually. His work is visually and viscerally magical, and his practice embodies the visions of Jack Lenor Lawson, the founder of LongHouse Reserve, both having revolutionary spirits.

Preston continuously explores spirituality and the idea of transformation in his artistic process. "We are ultimately all in collaboration with nature, universe, and Spirit, so why should artwork be any different?" As an artist in residence, Preston contributed by giving students in the East End an opportunity to engage in thoughtful discussion about his work and the art at LongHouse Reserve in hopes of inspiring the younger generations.
